The cast and crew of Love and Information presented three performances of Caryl Churchill’s thought-provoking and poignant play June 8 and 9 in the Isla Vista Community Center. The theatrical form attracts moments of info-whelm when characters’ lives change eternally when news is received. Churchill’s play focuses solely on those moments, generating them en masse. Serendipitously inline with the Interdisciplinary Humanities Center’s 2022-2023 theme of “Too Much Information,” the production dramatized the cascade of information-charged moments. Thanks to help of the Department of Theater and Dance, the IHC, the IV Community Center, and Grace Kimball, we are able to produce contemporary and classical theater in the heart of Isla Vista.
